Rideau is committed to protecting the privacy of all customers. This statement describes the practices Rideau has adopted with respect to user privacy. Generally, you may visit Rideau on the Web without telling us who you are and without revealing any information about yourself.
Collection of personal identifiable information
Certain employee data is required to effectively administer recognition programs and determine an employee’s eligibility for awards and rewards in accordance with the criteria established by your employer. The information received is used when sending award notifications and for order delivery. If you are a Rideau customer, you will be asked to provide to us, on behalf of your employees, all necessary information required for Rideau to fulfill our obligations. We do not collect any information about your employees that is not required to fulfill our contractual obligations with you.
Transfer of Information
Except when required by law Rideau will not divulge, distribute, sell, or permit any of its employees, agents, or representatives to divulge, distribute, or sell customer employee data received in connection with the customer's award program. Rideau does not divulge, share or sell any personal information that you provide, including e-mail addresses or employee information, with any agencies or alliance partners for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Consent
Rideau expects that our customers have received appropriate consent, according to applicable privacy laws, from their employees before transferring, in printed, electronic, facsimile or any other format, personal identifiable data to Rideau.
Accuracy
An individual employee of any Rideau customer can have any personally identifiable information we have stored about that individual corrected through their company contact. Rideau will only change information when the request is made by the designated company contact.
Security
At Rideau, we recognize the importance of conducting e-business within a confidential and secure environment. Rideau uses Secure Socket Layer technology (SSL). When you place an order or access your Company's personal account information, SSL is used to exchange information with us. The SSL protocol encrypts all information exchanged between your browser and our servers, so no one can read the information as it travels the Internet. This is the same system used by the banks to give customers access to their accounts
Our data is stored within a secure physical environment and internally, only a limited number of authorized personnel who need to access this information to carry out our contractual obligations with our customer can access this information. These personnel have been trained in security procedures and comply with Rideaus’ Code of Conduct. Security procedures are reviewed regularly and may change accordingly to reflect new enhancements in security practices or technology.
While Rideau strives to protect personal information, we cannot warrant the security of the information transmitted to or received from us as data transmission over the Internet cannot be guaranteed 100% secure.
If you use Rideau Web applications, you will be responsible for maintaining a user ID and password. We strongly recommend you never divulge your password to anyone. At no time will anyone from Rideau ask you for your password.
Links to other Web sites
Rideau web sites contain links to other Web sites. Rideau is not responsible for the privacy practices and content of these third-party Web sites. We urge you not to supply personal information to these sites unless you have verified their security and privacy policies.
Information entered on Rideau web sites
Rideau may, from time to time, use personal data such as your e-mail address to send you information about news, seminars and events that may be of interest to you. We do this to increase the value of service we provide to you. Should you wish not to receive this type of information you will have the option by selecting options in our applications to indicate your choice. Rideau does not divulge, share or sell any personal information that you provide, including e-mail addresses or employee information, with any agencies or alliance partners for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Rideau tracks aggregate traffic patterns and may provide aggregate statistics relating to traffic volume and traffic patterns to our customers but at no time would these summary statistics contain personally identifiable information. We do not correlate this information with personally identifiable data about individual site visitors nor do we track domain names and browser types.
